Artist Statement
I am an artist who works primarily with charcoal and acrylic, exploring the balance between contrast, texture, and emotional depth. Charcoal allows me to capture raw expression through bold lines, soft shading, and dramatic light, while acrylic gives me the freedom to introduce color, layering, and vibrancy into my work.
My process is intuitive and expressive. I often begin with charcoal to build form and structure, then develop the piece further using acrylic to enhance mood and atmosphere. This combination allows me to merge realism with abstraction, creating works that feel both grounded and expressive.
Through my art, I aim to communicate Beauty of African, emotion, identity, and the subtle details of human experience. I am particularly drawn to the way light and shadow interact, and how color can shift the feeling of a piece. Each work becomes a conversation between control and spontaneity, where imperfections are embraced as part of the story.
